The Old Presbytery, Bed and Breakfast Accommodation is situated to the east of Castletownbere on the Glengarrif Road in the heart of the beautiful Beara Peninsula. The Old Presbyteryoffers the visitor the highest standards ofbed and breakfast (B+B) accommodation in a beautiful and tranquil location. This elegant old guesthouse is set on four acres of landscaped gardens surrounded by the sea overlooking the harbour. The house, formally used by the local parish priests, has been completely restored and has retained all the elegance and charm of its historic past. It is conveniently located just 10 minutes walk from the centre of the town. It provides a perfect base for exploring West Cork and South Kerry and scope to pursue many activities including fishing, golf, and walking on the Beara Way Walking Route. Explore the famous Dunboy Castles and Hungry Hill. There are also plenty pubs with live traditional music and many fine restaurants to visit. The guest house comprises of five bedrooms, all ensuite, with tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryers and direct dial telephones. Fax facilities are available downstairs. All the beds are orthopaedic. Each room is named after the Beara locations such as Dunboy, Eskivaude, and Mishkish.The rooms are stylishly decorated and furnished and many have paintings by the well known artists, who live in Beara, like Tim Goulding and Maurice Henderson.
