Situated in a rural area with outstanding views of mountains and sea, Puffin, Gannet, Crab, Periwinkle, Skellig and Blasket cottages are situated on the water's edge just two miles from the fishing village of Portmagee with its shops pubs restaurants and boat trips to the world famous Skellig Rocks. Local attractions:- Skellig islands including Skellig Michael with its 6th century monastic settlement and Little Skellig with its 23,000 pairs of gannets as well as puffins, shearwaters and many other species of sea-birds. Valentia Island where the footprints of a Tetrapod 385 million years old have been discovered. Derrynane House and National Park. Numerous sandy beaches, spectacular scenic walks, drives and cycles. Boat trips, fishing,golf, scuba-diving, deep sea angling, horse riding, water sports, seafood restaurants and pubs with traditional Irish music. Numerous Historical and Archaeological sites.
